Conspiracy

Up

After a returning to San Diego for good (I'd had enough of the road), and after a couple weeks with Kirk Bates and then the piano bar at the Bahia Hotel, I joined the John Campbell Conspiracy (a lounge quartet with a steady following).

I got John, the leader, to offer Frank Mendivil (from my Junction group) the drummer's job. Then I introduced him to Patti Warner, a singer I had used in the recording studio several times. We spent the next few years as the house band at the Rueben E. Lee, until I decided to leave the show business part of music, and concentrate on studio work, and then computers.
